Meghan Markle makes her first solo royal appearance with the Queen

Cheshire was lucky to host two of England's finests on Thursday. Who knew the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, 36, and her Royal Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, 92, would be this close? Meghan Markle is fast adjusting to her new position as a royal and it fits like a glove. Age was not a barrier as both women deep in conversation, were grinning from ear to ear. The pictures say it all. Meghan is more like a friend and a daughter than a mere daughter in-law. And it doesn't look like an act. Could spending the night on a train have done the magic?

They both attended the official unveiling of a new bridge in Widnes, Cheshire which the Queen formally opened, as well as the opening for the Storyhouse Theatre before they sat down for lunch at Chester’s Town Hall.

This is the first time Meghan will be making a solo appearance without Prince Harry and her comportment is top notch. Meghan's grace is noticeable too. She never forgot that her friend is still the Queen of England as she walked right behind keeping some distance.

Earlier, The Queen gifted Meghan a beautiful pair of pearl and diamond drop earrings which she wore to Cheshire town. See it peeping from beneath her slightly swept dark brown silky mane?

The Queen's lime green Grenfell outfit is similar to the Stewart Parvin number she wore to the royal wedding between Harry and Meghan. She wasn't alone today. Meghan honored her bridal gown designer crew in a cream knee-length Givenchy dress with a shoulder cuff and a tiny waist belt.

We look forward to seeing more of these two in each other's company.
